For over four years, I worked inside the diet industry, supporting women to lose weight and change their lives.
And while I saw incredible results on the surface, I also saw something far more uncomfortable underneath.
Women weren't failing because they didn't want it badly enough.
They weren't failing because they lacked knowledge, discipline, or willpower.
They were failing because the support stopped where real life began.
The diet industry is built to sell structure, rules, and quick results. But the women I worked with were living with overwhelm, emotional eating, burnout, grief, neurodivergence, motherhood, stress, and years of shame around food.
And slowly, painfully, I realised something:
The way I coach does not fit what the diet industry sells.

I didn't change my life because I finally found the "right" plan.
I changed my life when I stopped doing what I was told I should do and started doing what I actually needed to do for my mind.
Stepping outside rigid rules
Looking at emotional eating instead of fighting it
Regulating my nervous system instead of relying on willpower
Building self-trust instead of chasing control
As a result, I lost over 180lbs.
But more importantly…
I'm still here five years later.
No calorie counting.
No food obsession.
No constant fear of regain.
No living on a knife edge of "being good".
For the first time in my life, food doesn't control me.
And that freedom changed everything.
I could no longer pretend that:
Because I had lived the opposite.
And I knew that if I stayed inside a system that couldn't hold the emotional, psychological, and human side of change, I would eventually be failing the very women I cared most about supporting.
So I made a decision.
RM Coaching exists because women deserve more than:
